Black Luxury Agents Collective (BLAC) strives to establish a sustainable, inclusive black experience that cultivates and encourages the group’s collective impact, one where our unique expertise intersects with opportunity and a commitment to drive wealth among the Sotheby’s International Realty brand’s black agents and the communities that we serve. We aim to demonstrate excellence within a culture bonded by respect and shared values.
Empower
and educate the black community, expanding confidence in the home buying and selling experience by harnessing the market knowledge and expertise of B.L.A.C.
Provide
relevant resources and platforms focused on presence, homeownership, opportunities, investing, wealth, and legacy building.
Invite
and retain black individuals within the Sotheby’s International Realty network, and provide opportunities for social engagement, professional development, and referrals.
Care
for and listen to all affected by inequity to foster unity, support, and growth, in order to cultivate a significant collective impact.

Member Spotlight
Troy Patterson
Troy’s diverse career in non-profit fundraising and management led to a love of real estate, which he has been successfully practicing for the last decade. He holds designations as a Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Graduate Realtor Institute, Certified Residential Specialist, and Military Relocation Professional, and is a proud member of The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance.
He has certifications as a financing specialist in Virginia and a pre-licensing instructor in the District of Columbia. Troy is an avid traveler and supporter of the arts who dreams of traveling to the most exotic locales. His favorite experiences include white water rafting in Costa Rica, horseback riding through the rain forests of Central America, and swimming the oceans of South America.
